On Monday, Serbia and the city of Belgrade officially presented their candidacy for the organization of the International Specialized Exhibition Expo 2027 with the theme "Game(s) for humanity - sport and music for all", at the 171st General Assembly of the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE) in Paris.
Minister of Finance Siniša Mali stated at the presentation that Serbia has done everything to create the necessary preconditions in order to realize the project of the specialized Expo exhibition, it is written in the press release of the Belgrade Fair, as reported by biznis.rs.
"During the two years of the crisis caused by the corona virus pandemic, we were the fastest growing economy in Europe. Serbia leads a balanced foreign policy and we guarantee that we will secure the largest number of exhibiting countries from various parts of the world. Today, we are the meeting point between East and West," said Mali.
Novak Đoković also spoke at the presentation with a video connection, who emphasized the importance of play as a universal language understood by everyone, as well as the importance of play in the earliest development of children, and actor Miki Manojlović and violinist Stefan Milenković also spoke, who specifically referred to their experience from the world exhibition Expo Dubai 2020.
The presentation was also attended by the Minister of Culture Maja Gojković, the Minister of Education Branko Ružić, the Minister of Sports Zoran Gajić, as well as the director of the Belgrade Fair Danka Selić, it was stated in the announcement.
