Photo: PixabayIn February this year, 1,995 building permits were issued in Serbia, which is 31.6% more than at the same time last year, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS) announced.
Of the total number of permits issued in February, 78.5% were permits for buildings and 21.5% for other buildings.
By observing only buildings, according to the SORS, 72.8% of permits were issued for residential and 27.2% for non-residential buildings, while for other buildings the largest part refers to pipelines, communication and power lines (64.3%), according to ekapija.com.
According to permits issued in February in Serbia, the construction of 3,434 apartments was reported, with an average area of 68.9 square meters.
As specified, of the total number of housing units in new buildings, 8.4% will be houses with an average area of 144.2 square meters, and 90.4% of apartments will be built in buildings with three or more apartments and their average area will be 60, 6 square meters.
Observed by areas, the highest construction activity is expected in Belgrade - 35.3% of the projected value of new construction, followed by region of Raška (17.4 percent), region of Mačva (9.5%), region of Srem (7.8%) and region of južna Bačka (6.8%), while the shares of other districts range from 0.1% to 3.6%.
