The Energy Agency has approved an increase in the price of electricity and gas from January 1, 2023, RTS learns.

From the beginning of 2023, the price of a kilowatt-hour of electricity will be 8 percent higher for households, and gas will be 11 percent higher.

A kilowatt-hour of gas with taxes and VAT will cost 4.5 dinars, and electricity 14.4 dinars.

According to the calculations of the Energy Agency, the bill for households that consume an average of 400 kilowatts per month will be increased to 300 dinars.

Those who heat on TA stoves and turn them on at night will have a higher bill of up to 1,000 dinars.

Citizens who heat their floors with electric boilers can expect bills higher by 1,600 dinars.

The Energy Agency is obliged to inform citizens about the increase in energy prices one month in advance.

The Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović, announced earlier that the price of electricity will increase by less than 10 percent from January 1, and gas by 11 percent.
