Renato Loiero, Economic Adviser of the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at Mipim 2024, has greeted the jobs: “I am pleased to accept the invitation of my friend Paolo Crisafi, Remind Chairman and Vip Guest Mipim to give my contribution to the interested subjects that are treated to the Mipim (International Real Estate Fair in the beautiful setting of Cannes).

Moreover, I would like to greet the organizers of the fair, Filippo Rean (Rx Italy Chairman and General Manager of Rx France), Nicolas Kozubeka (Mipim CEO) and Matteo Zoppas, ICE Chairman. This last entity, which the Government promotes the consolidation, economic-commercial development of our companies in foreign markets, acts as a body responsible for promoting the attraction of foreign investment through multiple activities, just like the Mipim.

As is well known, Italy has an extraordinary cultural heritage, rich in works of art, historical monuments and finds that testify the importance of the millennial history that permeates our Country and makes it unique worldwide. An inexhaustible source of inspiration and knowledge that is perfectly reflected in the economy of the nation characterized by a fervent productive fabric. It is also able to develop and produce a wide range of high quality products under the aegis of an innate creativity that has helped to position Italy as a global centre of excellence in the manufacturing sector and in the field of research and development.

We often consider “Made in Italy” as a symbol of excellence in design, fashion and automotive industry. However, we seldom reflect about the fact that even the sectors of mobility, infrastructure and transport can be counted among these expressions of leadership. Our cities are a tangible testimony.

Paolo Crisafi, Remind Chairman, spokesman of real estate extended to other Italian production sectors represented: “Italy, like many other countries, is facing important challenges linked above all to environmental sustainability and the implementation of new technologies within the complex process of transformation of lifestyles in the places, spaces, territories and cities where people live, operate and transit.

In response to these challenges, it is increasingly important to adopt an integrated approach to urban development, taking together the real estate, infrastructure and mobility aspects of cities.

The integrated approach to urban development has deep roots in the history of urbanism and urban planning has evolved over time, in response to changing urban needs and challenging, becoming today a fundamental part of the design, management, maintenance and enhancement of cities around the world.

The adoption of the integrated approach to urban development offers a number of significant benefits that can improve the quality of life in cities, promote environmental sustainability and promote the social and economic inclusion of citizens.

Coordinating investments in real estate, infrastructure and mobility allows maximizing the efficiency in the use of available resources, in order to reduce long-term costs and ensure more efficient use of public and private funding.

Integrating green infrastructure, efficient public transport and smart urban planning is key to combating climate change and protecting the environment, reducing greenhouse gas emission and promoting the conservation of natural resources. On these basis, with Renato Loiero, Budget Policy Adviser of the Prime Minister, we are deepening together with Filippo Rean, General Manager of Rx France, also in the Mipim international context, good practices of real estate expanded globally, taking into account the peculiarities of our Country”.
