In the last twenty years, Amsterdam's Zuidas district has developed into a major international business center, which is why there is a need to enrich this business district of the Dutch capital and transform it into an urban area more livable. Thus, in 2015, the Rotterdam studio MVRDV conceived the impressive project "Valley", which consists of three multi-storey mixed-use buildings, lined with exposed windows, numerous stone balconies and lush vegetation, in order to attract large numbers of people to live in this neighborhood. construction completed this year.

This building looks like a valley with three green hills where it is at its highest 100 meters. At the top of the hill is the Sky-bar with a view of the remaining two towers as well as the whole of Amsterdam. All three buildings are connected at the foot, that is, in the valley after which the project was named. It was landscaped according to the project of landscape architect Pete Udolf, who designed all the other vegetation on this building, which will be maintained by automatic irrigation systems, as well as a team of gardeners.

The first seven floors are reserved for office space, while 200 apartments are located in the rest of the building. Below the building there are three floors with 375 parking spaces. From the street, pedestrians walk along the paths through retail facilities and through green terraces all the way to the central area - the valley - which stretches at the level of the fourth and fifth floors and surrounds the central tower. The valley is green and will be a real little paradise for the residents of this building, according to dezeen.com.

The uneven exterior of the building is also reflected from the inside in its heart, where the large atrium looks as if it was carved out of rock, which is why it was named Pećina. It is designed to serve as a common living space for tenants.

According to MVRDV, there are no two identical apartments in the "Valley", which means that there is a large selection of housing types. However, each of them is oriented to maximize daylight, and all apartments have access to planted terraces.

Although the construction of the facilities has already been completed, their "green layer" of 13,000 plants, trees and shrubs is now left to grow over the uneven edges of the building, to be ready for the grand opening in 2022, a year later than expected.
