The construction of the biggest privately owned bifacial solar power plant on the ground in Serbia is to start soon. The solar power plant DeLasol, with a power of 9.913 MW, will spread on 12 hectares and be built in the territory of the municipality of Lapovo.

“The building permit has been obtained, as have been all the other necessary permits, and the construction should start on September 1 this year. I hope that everything goes as planned and that the solar power plant DeLasol will be fully finished by March 2023” said the investor Miloš Kostić.

This solar power plant will be connected to the substation in Lapovo and produce 15,000 MWh annually.

The construction of the DeLasol power plant is entrusted to the company MT-KOMEX.

According to the investor, 17,980 panels will be installed on specially made SONNEN structures.

“The equipment has started arriving, we are waiting for the structures and everything will be ready soon for the beginning of the construction of the solar power plant“ Kostić adds.

He says that he opted for bifacial solar panels because they are able to collect the sunbeams which reflect against the surface and produce electricity more efficiently than power plants with monofacial panels, ekapija.com.
