The city council of Vrnjačka Banja recently received a letter about the intentions to build there a new attraction and establish a partnership with the local self-government, novosti.rs writes.
"The Đoković family wants to enter into a public-private partnership with our municipality in the coming period. To begin with, they would take on the preparation of project-technical documentation, which is quite a demanding and very expensive item, they are ready to finance the project, and then also to maintain the gondola," said Ivan Džatić, deputy president of the Municipality of Vrnjačka Banja, after the session. City council.
He states that this idea is not new, and that the investment would pay off very quickly.
"The benefit for Vrnjačka Banja would be multiple. The very arrival of Novak Djokovic, one of the world's best athletes of all time, will without any doubt attract new investors and show that our municipality is very suitable for investing in tourism potential, as well as economic development," Džatić added.
Some time ago, the Đoković family bought a plot of land with an area of 1.17 hectares not far from the local road Vrnjačka Banja-Goč, on which they intend to build a luxury hotel with an apartment complex and all the accompanying facilities, according to Novosti.
The planned complex will cover 25,000 square meters, and the value of the investment is estimated at around 20 million euros. By the way, according to the information of Novosti, Novak is also seriously interested in buying land on the Vrnjačka side of Mount Goč, where he wants to build a weekend resort with attractive sports, recreational and tourist facilities.
