The tasks of establishing or renewing the land register for a certain cadastral municipality, which have a direct impact on increasing economic activity, will have the possibility to be entrusted to a notary public by the decision of the president of the court, biznis.rs reports.
Croatian Minister of Justice and Administration Ivan Malenica stated that this is a great novelty in the current amendments to the Law on Land Registry.
Namely, due to the large number of procedures for establishment and renewal in some areas, as well as a large number of cadastral cases, the competent courts with existing staff capacities cannot properly conduct these procedures, so notaries are the solution.
The next biggest novelty is the introduction of exclusively electronic submission of applications for registration in the land register through notaries and lawyers.
According to the authorities, the total amount of the court fee for submitting a proposal through a notary is lower than when submitting it directly in court or submitting it by mail.
Among the consequences that will result from the adoption of legal changes, the regulated land register creates a precondition for a better investment climate, regular collection of utility fees, taxes on vacation homes, but also contributes to a more regulated system of exercising the right to various forms of social assistance.
