Prime Minister Dritan Abazović also attended the signing of the contract between the Magnum Development Company and the prestigious hotel operator InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) for the construction of the Crowne Plaza Kolašin hotel. He said that the most important thing for the future development of tourism is for Montenegro to have world brands and to be on the world map of tourism.
"The development of the north is particularly important for the government of Montenegro. Personally, I think that there is more potential in the north than in the south. And I expect that in the future, the development of tourism will go more towards the north than the south because people are looking for peace, clean nature, and unique places. The fact that your project is connected with health tourism only adds value because tourists are changing their habits and want to use their vacation to improve their health," said Prime Minister Abazović.
He said that all investors, especially credible ones from the West, are more than welcome in Montenegro, and he promised the signatories of the contract that they would do everything to ease the administrative procedures so that the hotel would be completed on time and opened in 2024.
