Minister of Finance Siniša Mali posted on his Instagram account an illustration of what the Post office building on Savski Trg should look like in the future, where, as he stated, after thorough reconstruction, the Children's Museum of Belgrade and the Boško Buha Theater will be located.

"The Post Office building will be reconstructed, and the facade and appearance it had before the Second World War will be restored. In that building, very important cultural institutions will be housed, including the Children's Museum of Belgrade and the Boško Buha Theater, which will finally solve the problem of the location of that theater, which was the great wish of the late actor Milorad Mandić Manda. Behind that building will be a new state school and kindergarten. The school will be the most modern in the city; teaching will be bilingual, and it will have an indoor swimming pool and sports fields. In the old building of the railway station, there will be a Museum of the History of Serbia, behind which there will be a metro station where the first two lines of the underground railway will cross. It will complete this part of Belgrade Waterfront, along with the monument to Stefan Nemanja," the minister said in an interview with Novosti.

Mali expects that work on all buildings within the Belgrade Waterfront will begin in 2025 and that the entire project will be completed by 2028.

"The foundation stone was laid in 2015, and in less than a decade and a half, a total of two million new square meters will be built here on 100 hectares. That is something I can only be proud of; it is primarily the success of Serbian citizens and a confirmation of our responsible policy. So far, 14 buildings in the Belgrade Waterfront have been completed, 10 new ones are being built; and this year, the Kula Beograd, the tallest building in this part of Europe at 168 meters high, will be officially opened. About 2,500 workers are employed daily within this complex. The project is a symbol of Serbia's development, growth, and success, even in terms of numbers," the finance minister told for Novosti.
