The domestic company Transfera officially opened one of the largest logistics centers in the region, in the industrial zone in Novi Banovci, near Belgrade. It is an investment worth 14 million euros and a facility with an area of 30,000 square meters, which was completed in a record nine months. The plan of the company, which employs more than 360 people, including 100 young engineers, is to continue the construction of the logistics park, the next phase of which is scheduled for next year.

The opening ceremony was attended by Duško Radović, General Manager of Transfera, Đorđe Radinović, President of the Municipality of Stara Pazova, Zoran Petrović, President of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Serbia Bank and Miloš Nenezić, President of the Union of Employers of Serbia, as well as more than 250 guests.

On this occasion, Duško Radović, general manager of Transfera, pointed out that he is very proud of this investment, which started a new chapter in the company's development.

"In the very challenging period of the corona virus and current events that affected transport and logistics around the world, we managed to complete one of the largest logistics facilities in the region in record time. I am proud of the fact that Transfera is a 100% Serbian company and that in nine years of existence we have achieved success that has positioned us as one of the leaders in the logistics market of Serbia and the region. The achieved results also speak in support of this. In 2021, we had 67 million euros in revenue, while for this year we expect to approach the figure of 100 million euros in revenue. I would like to thank the entire team for the efforts made during the previous period, without which these results would not have been possible. Our plans don't stop here. Our goal is to continue developing and expanding our business to other markets, as well as continuing the construction of the logistics park," said Radović at the opening ceremony.

Đorđe Radinović, president of Stara Pazova Municipality, thanked the management of Transfera for choosing Stara Pazova Municipality to open one of the largest logistics centers in the region.

"Just a few months ago, during a tour of the works, there was a large construction site here, and today we see a very successfully realized investment." We, as the management of the Municipality, strive for continuous development of the economy, which is evidenced by the unemployment of the population of only a few percent, and this investment will certainly contribute to that percentage being even lower precisely because of the creation of new jobs. I congratulate Mr. Radinović on the realized investment and I wish him every year to be more and more successful in business," said Radinović.

Miloš Nenezić, president of the Union of Employers of Serbia, emphasized the importance of this investment for the local population.

"A multi-million dollar investment, outside of big cities, as well as the employment of several hundred young people from different structures, with a significant increase in business income and potential business expansion to surrounding markets, is a rare positive example of business behavior." This is a practically applied formula for business success that can be achieved when local self-government and financial institutions cooperate with a proven businessman. I believe that this will be an example that other employers will follow," said Nenezić.

Zoran Petrović, Chairman of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Bank, said that the cooperation between the bank and Transfera is an example of what a relationship between partners who trust each other should look like, with visible results.

"Our cooperation has been going on for four years now, and it is a pleasure to support a company that employs a large number of people, active in a fast-growing sector that is recording better and better results." When we look at this center and its area of 30,000 square meters, it is clear that this sector brings a lot of work and that its needs are continuously growing," concluded Petrović.

The new logistics center is equipped with the most sophisticated technology for managing warehouse operations, and the use of renewable energy sources has been set as one of the priorities. Transfers currently have more than 800 customs operations on a daily basis, and within the logistics center, more than 300 customs operations are carried out daily. At the same time, Transfera transports around 350 shipments per day in international transport. Within the logistics center is the logistics and service of the Comtrade company.

The company has 20 offices in Serbia, as well as representative offices in China and Italy, reports ekapija.com.
