Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, the second richest man in the world, has finally sold his last remaining home, a San Francisco mansion, after repeatedly saying he wanted to sell most of his possessions to fund a colony on Mars. The 19-hectare property in Hillsborough, with the 1,500-square-meter mansion, was sold in early December for $30 million, and the client didn't want their identity to be revealed. Musk bought the house in 2017 for $23 million from the family that had owned it for 150 years. With the sale of this villa, Musk has sold his real-estate portfolio, which was once worth upwards of $100 million. Musk reportedly lives in a tiny prefab home worth around $50,000 in Boca Chica, Texas, which he rented from his company, SpaceX.
