IN SERBIA, IN OCTOBER 22.2 PERCENT FEWER CONSTRUCTION PERMITS ISSUED THAN IN OCTOBER LAST YEAR

In Serbia, 2,989 construction permits were issued in October this year, which is 22.2% less than in October last year, the Republic Institute of Statistics announced.

Of the total number of building permits issued in October, 84.8% were for buildings, and 15.2% for other buildings.

If only buildings are considered, 84.9% of permits were issued for residential and 15.1% for non-residential buildings, while the majority of permits for other buildings were for pipelines, communication and electrical lines.

According to the permits issued in October 2022 in Serbia, the construction of 2,948 apartments, with an average area of 74.1 square meters, was reported.

Of the total number of new residential units, 12.8% will be houses with an average area of 147 square meters, and 86% of apartments will be in buildings with three or more apartments with an average area of 61.9 square meters.
