Despite the increase in prices, the demand for real estate is constantly growing. The enormous increase in the price of construction materials especially affects the growth of the price of new construction.

Insight into the global database Numbeo, the portal Aljazeera Balkans researched real estate prices in the capitals of the region.

Numbe's data show that renting a two-bedroom apartment in the city center is on average the most expensive in Ljubljana (651 euros) and the cheapest in Skopje (264 euros).

The citizens of Zagreb will spend an average of 498 euros for a two-room apartment in the city center, and 374 euros outside the center.

In the center of Belgrade, 456 euros are allocated per month for the same apartment, and 374 euros for an apartment that is not in the city center.

Users of the Numbeo website from Podgorica say that they are allocating 339 euros for renting a two-bedroom apartment in the city center, and 239 euros outside the center.

Based on 124 entries from Priština, renting a two-bedroom apartment in the city center costs 277 euros, outside the center - 216 euros.

Renting an apartment in the center of Sarajevo costs 269 euros on average, outside the center is 180 euros, according to ekapija.com.

In Skopje, an apartment in the city center costs an average of 264 euros, and outside the center 188 euros.

What is the price per square meter?

When you look at the price per square meter of an apartment, Ljubljana is the most expensive again. In the city center, a square meter of a two-room apartment costs 4,277 euros.

A square meter of a two-bedroom apartment in the center of Zagreb costs an average of 3,440 euros, in Belgrade 3,099 euros.

In Sarajevo, however, the price is somewhat lower - a square meter in the city center costs an average of 1,838 euros.

A square meter of a two-bedroom apartment in the center of Podgorica costs 1,556 euros, in the center of Skopje 1,461 euros, in Priština 1,365 euros.
