Serbia Green Building Council will traditionally promote the campaign at the national level this year as well, and the World Green Building Week #WGBW2022 will be celebrated on September 13 and 16 in Belgrade, in the form of the organization of a two-day conference DAYS OF GOOD PRACTICE, as part of the global campaign #GridimoZaSve , with the aim of bringing people back to the focus of the built environment.
The organization of the Conference on the 1st day is with the support of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, as the host of the event, while the 2nd day of the Conference is organized in partnership with the members of Faculty of Civic Engineering and Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade:
Green Building Week, as one of the world's largest campaigns to accelerate the sustainable development of the built environment worldwide, aims to call on the global community to accelerate climate action for a Net Zero carbon built environment – for the betterment of communities and economies. The Green Building Council of Serbia, as a national member of WorldGBC, joins this initiative and campaign.
The conference should answer the key question: "How do we create good practice?". More precisely, how do we create a good green practice that can be the starting point for further sustainable development.
This year's campaign gains particular importance with last week's adoption of one of the most important UN Resolutions related to human rights, that everyone on the planet has the right to a healthy environment.
The resolution, which, in addition to Serbia, was voted for by 160 countries, stemmed from the urgent need to curb the accelerated deterioration of the natural world.
ENVIRONMENTAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL POLICIES ARE KEY, BUT ALSO THE SUPPORT OF BUSINESS MODELS.
That's why this year's global campaign #BuildingforEveryone consists of two three key themes, putting first a plan of possibilities as built among the supporters of the UN's sustainable development goals: Buildingfortheplanet/ Buildingforcommunities/ Buildingforeconomies.
To attend the conference, REGISTRATION is required, where you can choose the method of attending the conference (for day 1, you must also choose the method of attendance: live or online).
