CCIS AND WWF AWARDING GRANTS TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ASSOCIATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS

The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), within the project of “Actions in Serbia in the Field of Environment, Nature and Climate – Safe Nature and Climate”, are publishing an invitation for taking part in the contest for the awarding of strategic grants in 2022, meant for citizens’ associations and civil society organizations of the Republic of Serbia that focus on the issues of environmental protection and climate change.

The project supported by the EU through the Program of Support to Civil Society aims to form a network of civil society organizations in Serbia, which will implement sustainable ideas from the fields of environmental protection and climate, while at the same time upgrading their capacities, so that they would be an important participant in the further creation of policies in these fields, the CCIS says in its announcement.

The program entails financial support for the carrying out of projects in the fields of environmental protection in the maximum amount of 18,000 euros per project, the strengthening of financial, program and operational capacities and the thematic networking of civil society organizations, institutions and local and international organizations.

The project proposition should contribute to the following goals:

– goal 1: Improving the capacities of the representatives of civil society organizations for the following of local and national policies and regulations in the fields of environmental protection and climate change;

– goal 2: Research and analysis of the flaws in policy management and regulatory frameworks which pertain to environmental protection and mitigating climate change;

– goal 3: Advocating proper and efficient local and national policies regarding environmental protection and climate change;

– goal 4: Promoting dialogue and active participation of citizens as a requirement for setting up efficient reforms and policies in the field of environmental protection for the accession to the EU;

– goal 5: Raising awareness of the importance of establishing proper and efficient policies of environmental protection and climate change which enable the development of a sustainable ecosystem in the Republic of Serbia.

Applications are made exclusively electronically, by sending the required documentation at grantovis@wwfadria.org no later than Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 3 PM.
